Vicktor Arnick & Victor Haywood-Harris are transferring via http://www.verbalcommits.com/transfers/2014

Those young men were pretty well-known in the prep basketball circuit in DFDubb. I hate to see them go so early but I understand, those boys rode the pine all season. But these 2/3 star freshman recruits are against stiff competition with these seasoned upperclassmen transfers for playing time. They shouldn't feel bad @ all, I'm sure they tried their best.

I hope we get to play the University of Houston this year, but their probably scared to schedule us now. It to much sense not to play us since it seems both of are fan bases gets excited when we do and we're right across the street.

I second this... I'd like to get a Scott Street Classic or Battle of Scott Street thing going lol

Matter fact, there should be some type of annual City of Houston Classic .... throw in Rice, PV, UH, SHSU, HBU, and let them battle it out. There's at least 6 D-1 teams in the metro area but only one of which made to the 2014 NCAA Tourney lol

I posed this question before on TSPN... I'll repost it here:

Houston Big 4

What if an informal City Championship was created between the Athletic Directors/Marketing/SID's:
Texas Southern University
University of Houston
Rice University
Houston Baptist University

Like the Philadelphia Big 5: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philadelphia_Big_5

Optional:
Sam Houston State University
Prairie View A&M University

That's a good idea plus it's an even number.  No team has a clear automatic advantage which is even better. Houstonians take note .....

I had to delete the '#TXSU leds SWAC ..." post b/c the I over-looked one school.  UAPB average well around 3,300 per home game ... so we came in second but still did well considering the facts (large increase from the previous season).  I didn't think even to take them seriously but I mean there's nothing to do in Pine Bluff compared to Houston so it doesn't surprise me lol

Our conference tournament number seems way off. 5K total attendance for the tournament?

It's right. It's from the 2012-2013 season .... The tournament in Garland wasn't well attended.  But this year it was .... For one the venue is way better in Houston

Oh I didn't realize it was for THAT tournament. I thought it was for this year's tournament and was gonna start up a s#!tstorm lol

Ty'Quan Bitting (Winston Salem, NC) has been added to (6-8, 190, 2★) has enrolled in school and been added to the official team roster. - See more at: http://www.verbalcommits.com/schools/texas-southern#sthash.YTyBRjCu.t7b1ftsY.dpuf

NCAA official numbers are thoroughly verified so you can trust them lol.  Great! Finally a big man!  Every good team has a star big man. 200+ lbs would be great size on him .... I would like to see that by Fall play.

Im expecting to see at least one 6'9" or taller player by Fall.  Mikes camp arent fools, they know we need it to be competitive surely.  Hopefully from the East Coast or Midwest too, they big men seem more skilled.  Just my observation as a College Basketball fanatic.

There's nothing more intimidating and cool than a roster with some giants

 +1!!!

Per ESPN's Jeff Goodman via Twitter:
Marshall transfer Chris Thomas working out with John Lucas -- and could wind up playing at Texas Southern for Mike Davis.

This guy Thomas what was his reason for leaving Manhattan?? Keeping an eye on you guys and your search for a big man keep it up.

This guy Ty'Quan Bitting how is his ball handling ability looks like small forward material at 6-8 190.

Update to our non-conference schedule via Twitter
11/20/2014 @ University of Tennessee (their home opener)

I'm seeing a conflicting report from their own site that states it's 11/14/2014 on this page and 11/20/2014 on this page, but I'm betting that it's 11/20
