The Texas Southern women's basketball team lost their fourth straight game as they fell 73-50 to Alabama A&M Monday night at home.

TSU (2-5, 1-4 SWAC) started the game from behind as a 14-5 run by the visiting Lady Bulldogs (5-2, 3-1 SWAC) put them behind 18-7 near the end of the first quarter. The second quarter saw TSU close to within nine at the 9:11 mark after Te'Aire Hambrick hit a pair of free throws. However, that would be the closest they would get as AAMU answered with a 20-4 run to further increase their lead to 42-16 at halftime.

TSU regained their scoring touch in the second half with 23 points in the fourth quarter, shortening a portion of their deficit to close out the game.

Hambrick led the team with 16 points on 5-of-9 shooting. Ataiya Bridges scored nine points along with grabbing six rebounds, one assist, and two steals. Namiko Adams finished the game with nine points, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Texas Southern will close out their three-game homestand in the H&PE Arena on Feb. 6 when they face their in-state rivals Prairie View A&M. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Individual tickets will not be sold for Saturday's game.
