TSU drops State Fair Showdown to Southern
DALLAS, Texas- The Texas Southern Tigers dropped a 21-7 decision to the Southern Jaguars in the inaugural State Fair Football Showdown.
After falling behind 14-0, TSU was unable to generate enough offense for a win.
TSU tallied 287 yards of total offense while holding SU to 271 total yards.
The Tigers only score came on a six-yard touchdown pass from Jay Christophe to Adrian Carter in the fourth quarter.
Texas Southern returns home next week to host Mississippi Valley State for Homecoming.
