Recap on AAMU game
"I have to compliment Alabama A&M because they played really well, played with a lot of confidence and a lot of passion. We tied the game up 14-14 in the second quarter. With 4:26 remaining in the second, they put an additional 14 points on the board to go up by 14 at the half and that's when they basically took care of the game. We didn't play very well from the first to the end of the game. We had too many penalties, we had 12 penalties for 167 yards and it's my job for us to play better, play much better as a disciplined football team because 12-167 is not acceptable for our football team. Those are the things we are going to work on this week as we enter into the Grambling game and we look forward to playing them this coming Saturday."

Preparing for game against Grambling State
"Grambling State has great tradition. They obviously had one of the greatest coaches of all time. I was fortunate enough to be at LSU when he was at Grambling State and it doesn't get any better than Coach Eddie Robinson. If we can't get up and prepare for Grambling State who has won the conference back-to-back championships, then we can't get up for anybody because Grambling State is going to come in here with an outstanding football team and we have to come into the game with emotion, passion and a competitive spirit when we get after them from the first snap all the way to the end. When you are a champion, as they've proven to be, you find ways to win. Well, we have to find ways to beat Grambling State. this weekend."
