Reed named SWAC Co-Player of the Week
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- Texas Southern senior center Trayvon Reed was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Co-Men's Basketball Player of the Week for week one of the season for his outstanding play during games played from Nov. 6-12.

Trayvon Reed helped lead the Tigers to a 72-69 upset win over Baylor-in each team's season opener. It marked the first victory in SWAC history against Baylor (Baylor leads the all-time series 56-1 versus the league).
Reed shot 7-of-9 from the floor with 15 points, 12 rebounds, two blocks and a steal. Reed followed up that performance by shooting 6-of-13 from the floor with 14 points, 16 rebounds and three blocks at #3 Gonzaga.
The senior center closed out the week with 15 points (5-of-10 FG) and 11 rebounds at Iowa State on Monday.
In three games, Reed averaged 14.7 points per game on .563 percent shooting, a conference-best 13 rebounds per game and 1.7 blocks per game.
