TSUSports.com: Men’s Golf In 6th After Opening Round Of SWAC Championship Play

FLOWOOD, Miss. – The Texas Southern University men’s golf team sits in sixth place at the end of the opening round of the 2024 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Golf Championship on Monday. The Tigers posted a team total of 299.

Juniors Liam O’Rourke and Kci Lindskog lead the way for the Tigers with a one-over-par 73 and are tied for 13th individually. O’Rouke carded one birdie, 16 pars, and a bogey during his round while teammate Lindskog posted four birdies, 11 pars, a bogey, and two doubles in his. Sophomore Darian Faust carded a four-over-par 76 round while Ravepon Kosalutta was one stroke back on 77. Freshman Matt Vanhoy posted a 79 in his round.

The competing teams are playing at the Refuge Golf Club, a 6,894-yard par-72 championship course. The Tigers tee up for the second round of the SWAC Championships Tuesday morning with an 8:00 am start.
