Lady Tigers win third straight contest

HOUSTON- The Texas Southern Lady Tigers continued their winning ways as they took down the Southern Jaguars for their third win in a row at Durley Stadium.
The Lady Tigers would open the scoring when Lemurial Johnson found Mia Marshall as she would send a shot past SU Goalkeeper Chiomi Erikien.
"It was a really beautiful cross, and I thought let me get a touch on it and just hit it in." said Marshall.
Begona Rodriguez-Bravo would add to the score as she raced past two SU defenders and scored in the 28th minute of the first period. TSU went to intermission with a 2-0 cushion.
In the 54th minute of the contest Desiree Harte would lob a perfect cross to Gia Hodges for TSU's third goal of the day. The Lady Tigers offense for the third game in a row had more shots on goal than their opponent.
Texas Southern returns to the pitch on Friday, October 5th as they host Alabama A&M at 7:00 pm at Alexander Durley Stadium.
