HOUSTON- Behind solid offensive production from Marquia Turner (21 points) and Niya Mitchell (18 points) the Texas Southern Lady Tigers Basketball team claimed their first win of the season with a 83-54 rout of Paul Quinn.
Texas Southern led 48-24 at the break as the Lady Tigers shot 44.6 percent from the field.
Defensively TSU forced Paul Quinn into committing 21 turnovers while also holding them to shooting 37.3 percent from the field.
Texas Southern's Breasia McElrath tallied 10 points and six rebounds for Texas Southern rounding out the list of Lady Tigers double-digit contributors.
