Bowling finishes in 14th place at Kat Klash
HOUSTON- The Texas Southern Lady Tigers finished the weekend in 14th place, winning five games and tallying seven losses. The Lady Tigers averaged 170.6 pins for the meet.

Day one of the tournament, the Lady Tigers sat at 13th place winning two games and losing three. Texas Southern beat Southern and Tulane the first day of competition after facing them previously this season.

Day two, Texas Southern went 2-3 again placing them in the tournament bracket to compete for 11th place. The Lady Tigers beat out Arkansas State and Alabama A&M, but had losses against Prairie View A&M and Maryville.

On the final day of the tournament, the Lady Tigers competed for 11th place against Prairie View A&M and Maryville who had the bye game. The Lady Tigers defeated Prairie View A&M in the first round to advance to play Maryville who they had previously competed against, and only losing by 30 pins.

The Lady Tigers lost to Maryville in the second round, pinning them back against Prairie View A&M to play for positioning of 13th or 14th place.

Samantha Kriner was the Lady Tiger's top performer, ranking at 41 with an average of 178.60.

Texas Southern will compete in their final match of the fall semester next weekend on November 9-11. The Lady Tigers will travel to Jackson, Mississippi to compete in the Jackson Sonic Boom, hosted by Jackson State University.
