The Texas Southern University baseball team fell 8-4 to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Wednesday night at Chapman Field.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (3-3) took advantage of two Texas Southern (2-2) errors to plate four runs at the bottom of the fourth as they registered two hits and left two on base. The Islanders scored another run in the fifth to lead, 5-0.

The Tigers finally got on the board at the top of the sixth inning as Jason Lazo scored unearned. However, A&M-Corpus Christi responded back aggressively at the bottom of the frame with three runs on three hits to plate Vaughan Logan , Drake Kerr, and Issac Webb.

Michael Goudeau led off the top of the seventh with a walk then stole two bases and followed up with scoring on a wild pitch. Nin Burns, ll walked, then Emundo Alanis homered for two RBIs as that would be the last scores of the game.

Dalton Alford took the loss for the Tigers in 4.0 innings pitched as he gave up four runs on four hits. However, he struck two Islanders and walked three.

Evans Hendricks picked up the win for A&M-Corpus Christi in 5.0 innings as he struck out 10 Tigers and walked four.
