Redemption couldn’t come soon enough for Jackson State.
After falling 26-16 to Tennessee State, JSU returns to conference play against Texas Southern. The game was moved from Saturday to Thursday because of TV slot time and will broadcast on ESPNU. Both programs take on their second SWAC game of the season and are coming off losses. Texas Southern fell 55-17 to Sam Houston last week and seeks its first win of the season.
JSU (1-2) takes on a Texas Southern program that is restructuring under second-year coach and former JSU quarterback Darrell Asberry. TSU has allowed 505 rushing and 427 passing yards in two games. Despite how many yards TSU has given up, JSU seeks to clean up remnants of the turnover festival it had last week.
