You have heard of people who march to different drummers — Michael Strahan is bringing his own band to Canton, Ohio.
When Strahan is inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Aug. 2, he’ll be accompanied by the Ocean of Soul, Texas Southern University’s renowned marching band.
“It’s going to be incredible,” Strahan said about the Ocean of Soul’s schedule that includes four appearances in Canton, including the Saturday morning parade. “When I played, I remember wanting to get out of the locker room at halftime real quick to check out our band. They were that good.
“I’m proud of TSU, and I’m honored the Ocean of Soul wanted to come because that’s something I didn’t expect. I can’t wait to see them perform.”
