I saw Southern against Mississippi Valley St. last night on ESPNU.  Their defense was awesome and won the game for them when things got tight. Is it true they can't participate in the conference tournament?

What I saw Monday was problems on the defensive side, No defense in the paint., Godfrey had his way 27 points and Murray got no help.  The lane was a freeway to the basketball. It seems like Defense is being sacrificed for offense. TSU has plenty of guys who can score but no guys to play...

You're right. I've seen 6'8" Christian McCoggle play AAU ball last summer against the Houston Defenders (Harrison Twins) twice. he must have had 8 block shots and 12 boards in both games, he's a beast on the defensive end. He has a nice face up jumper and passes very well.

Just talk to a top AAU Coach who has a few players on Southern's roster. He's saying Southern will have a lot of size this season. (4 players > 6'8"). I told him we will get them with our quickness and shooting.
