HOUSTON- The Texas Southern Tigers basketball team got back to winning ways on Saturday at home while capturing their second largest margin of victory over a league opponent with a decisive 78-40 win against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
Texas Southern took a 39-19 advantage into intermission behind a 46 percent shooting effort from the field in the games' first half.

Trae Jefferson led all scorers with 16 points and 4 assists. Zach Lofton scored 13 points while Jalan McCloud added 11 points off the bench.

For the game TSU shot 45 percent from the floor while outrebounding UAPB 34-29.

The Tigers played stellar defensive versus the Golden Lions limiting them to shooting just 36 percent from the field.

Texas Southern plays host to Mississippi Valley State on Monday as the Tigers will looks to avenge a 103-89 loss to MVSU earlier this season.
