PINE BLUFF, Ark. - Arkansas-Pine Bluff (10-19, 9-7 SWAC) remained in the hunt for the No. 3 seed in the SWAC Volleyball Tournament by sweeping Texas Southern (14-12, 11-7) Sunday evening at the H.O. Clemmons Arena.

Scores of the match were 25-12, 25-17, and 25-23.

Three UAPB players hit at above .400 on the day, with Lisa Casimie leading the way with 16 kills on a .433 attack clip. Casimie added six digs. Taylor Sheppy added nine kills on a .421 attack percentage, and Kendalle Howard flirted with a double-double (nine kills, nine digs) while converting on .412 of her tries at the net. Britney Sahlmann dished out 40 assists, and Jade Sanlin made 18 digs.

Kirby Anderson and Alexis Austin made seven kills each for the Lady Tigers. Asia Howard delivered 17 assists. Erin Adams led TSU with eight digs.

The Lady Tigers still have the inside track to the No. 3 seed in the SWAC Tournament. The postseason event begins Friday, Nov. 17, in Jackson, Miss.
