DES MOINES, Iowa- For the past five years one of the top high school track and field events in the state of Iowa has been hosted at North High School.

The "Annual Clyde Duncan Relays" has quickly become a staple in the local community of Des Moines.

The event which is named after legendary TSU Men's Track and Field coach Clyde Duncan continues to get better each year along with the level of competition.

"I am truly honored that the annual Clyde Duncan Relays at North High School has been named in my honor and continues to thrive each year," said Duncan.

"To have my name associated with one of the top meets in the state is truly remarkable and I along with my family couldn't be prouder to lend our support to this event year in and year out," said Duncan.

2013 was the inaugural year of the event which now features some of the best high school track and field student-athletes from all-around the state in competition each season.
