EDINBURG, Texas- The Texas Southern Tigers baseball team dropped their first four games of the season in a four game series versus UT-Rio Grande Valley over the weekend.
The Tigers fell 12-2, 11-4, 9-0, and 5-4 in games one, two, three, and four respectively.
Texas Southern nearly found themselves in the winners column in the series finale after jumping out to a 4-0 advantage after two innings of play.
UTRGV chipped away at the Tigers lead after falling behind before taking the lead at 5-4 in the bottom of the tenth inning on a single to right field.
Texas Southern will travel to face Jackson State on the road in a three game series February 24-26.
