When Texans offensive guard Brandon Brooks was playing for Miami of Ohio, he was coached by new Texas Southern coach Michael Haywood for two seasons.
Brooks predicts success for Haywood, a Houston native who went to St. Thomas went 11-1 and named Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year.
