HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Former Rosenberg Terry High School tight end Derrick Griffin, who originally committed to Texas A&M and signed with the Miami Hurricanes in 2013, is attending Texas Southern with plans to become eligible and play during the 2015 season for the Tigers.
Griffin was unable to play for the Hurricanes because he was a non-qualifier.
Texas Southern athletics director Dr. Charles McClelland told FOX 26 Sports Griffin passed a summer-bridge program at TSU enabling him to enroll in school for the fall semester.
