SYRACUSE, N.Y. – All starting five members of the Tigers reached double digits in scoring but it wasn't enough as Texas Southern fell at the Carrier Dome 80-67 to Syracuse.
Donte Clark scored a team-high 20 points, Robert Lewis contributed with 13 points while Trayvon Reed added 12 points and eight rebounds.
Kevin Scott had 11 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and two steals and Derrick Bruce finished with 10 points for TSU.
The Orange received 21 points from Tyus Battle and four others reached double figures in scoring as Syracuse shot 50 percent from the floor in the second half which helped them pull away from the Tigers.
Texas Southern will now get set to travel and face the Kansas Jayhawks on Tuesday, Nov. 21.
