TSUSports.com: Nintcheu Medals Twice, Women's Track Wraps Up Indoor Season At SWAC Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Senior thrower Christelle Nintcheu earned a pair of bronze medals as Texas Southern women's track placed seventh at the 2020 SWAC Indoor Championships at the Birmingham Crossplex.

Nintcheu placed third in the weight throw after a career-best indoor mark of 56-4. She also claimed third in the shot put with a toss of 45-1.75 feet.

Tajaia Paddio placed fifth in the prelims of the 60-meter dash and advanced to the finals as she finished eighth in a time of 7.94. Nikole Haroon placed fourth in the prelims of the 400 before finishing eighth in the finals.

The mile relay team of Briana Creeks, Haroon, Tatyana Bryant and Deshawn Petit finished fifth in a time of 3:53.52 while the distance medley team featuring Creeks, Petit, Latevia Adderly and Emily Condon ran a season-low time of 13:29.21.

T'Nia Sample logged a seventh-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 37-4.5 while Phylan Perkins placed fifth in weight throw with a personal-best throw of 55-8.5 feet. Taylor Watson would place seventh in the weight throw after a mark of 53-4.25.

The Tigers are back in action during the month of March as they'll open outdoor season at the JET Relays in Fort Worth, Texas on March 7.
