PETERBOROUGH — Nobel- and Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Toni Morrison is the 2016 Edward MacDowell Medalist.
Morrison, 85, will receive the medal at a ceremony at the artists’ colony on Sunday, Aug. 14.
Among her best-known novels are “The Bluest Eye,” “Sula,” “Song of Solomon,” “A Mercy,” and “Beloved,” the winner of the 1988 Pulitzer Prize for fiction.
