Texans beat writer, Houston Chronicle
The Texans worked out Texans Southern punter Cory Carter at their local prospect day, according to a source not authorized to speak publicly.
The Texans also worked out University of Houston punter Logan Piper.
Carter averaged 45 yards per punt for his career and 45.7 yards last season.
Carter was named All-Southwestern Athletic Conference.
The 5-9, 200-pounder ran the 40-yard dash in 4.63 seconds at his Pro Day workout where he bench pressed 225 pounds 21 times with a 32 1/2 inch vertical leap and a 9-4 broad jump.
