HOUSTON CHRONICLE: TSU sees academic improvement in football program

As Texas Southern’s baseball team prepares to play in the NCAA regionals, things are looking up for the Tigers on the academic front as well.

TSU’s football program posted another round of improved numbers for its Academic Progress Report, which is compiled by the NCAA each year to measure academic eligibility and progress toward a degree.

All really Clelland did was have most of the players become general education majors which is hands down the easiest major out there .... if you can manage to get to class on time and know how to spell your name ... you will pass. Many universities have been doing that for years. The problem with this is that these students leave college with no "respected"degree and will have a hard time finding quality work .... a B.S. in Gen Ed isn't really useful compared to those of us who had in demand majors (accounting, finance, engineering, computer science, pharmacy, elementary education, aviation, etc). Fortunately Tray doesn't have to worry about finding a job though lol ... he's pretty much set for life if he stays in the NFL for 2-3 years and don't spend crazy. The Ravens are my new favorite team thanks to him ... I've even added the Baltimore Raven app
