HOUSTON- The Texas Southern Tigers Track and Field program has announced the signing of a highly touted recruit.
TSU has received a National Letter of Intent from Roman Turner (pictured above) of Hirschi High School. Turner won the 100 meters at the 2017 TSU Relays with a time of 10.43.
"Roman is an extraordinary sprinter with the ability to keep getting better," said TSU head coach Clyde Duncan. "The sky is truly the limit for him on the track and we're absolutely elated to be able to bring a student-athlete of his caliber into our Men's Track and Field program here at Texas Southern University."
In other Track and Field news Texas Southern's D'Andre Lewis won the 800 meters at the East Texas Invitational Meet on Saturday, April 15th with a personal best time of 1:49.82, he is currently the SWAC's leader.
