HOUSTON- The Texas Southern Tigers Football team took the field today in full pads for the first time during preseason training camp.
With position battles going on all over the field one position that stood out today was the quarterbacks.

TSU quarterbacks Jay Christophe and Glen Cuiellette both showed flashes of progress during the Tigers fifth practice of fall camp.

"We've made a ton of progress from where we started at in the spring," said TSU Offensive Coordinator Morris Watts. "At the end of the spring we were pretty good offensively. This fall we've had our ups and downs but we're making progress towards where we want to be."

Texas Southern will shift its practice sessions to the morning over the course of the upcoming days prior to hosting a scrimmage on Saturday, August 11th at Alexander Durley Stadium.
