COLUMBUS, Ohio- Texas Southern cut a double-digit deficit to two points at 59-57 with under seven minutes left to play but it wasn't enough to pull off the upset over Ohio State as the Buckeyes prevailed 82-64 after closing out the game on a strong note offensively.

Texas Southern was led in scoring by Donte Clark who tallied 17 points and seven rebounds to go along with four assists and one steal.

Trayvon Reed and Derrick Bruce added 14 points a piece while fellow teammate Robert Lewis contributed 11 points.

OSU led 42-29 at halftime as they shot 46.2 percent from the field for the game. Texas Southern shot 41.5 percent from the floor while collectively going 14-of-15 from the free throw line.

The Tigers will travel to face Syracuse on Saturday, Nov. 18 as TSU continues non-conference play on the road.
