HARROGATE, Tenn. – Texas Southern's season came to an end on Friday in a loss to Lincoln Memorial University in the opening round of the 2018 NCAA women's bowling championship.
The match was a very tightly contested match. In the traditional play round, The Lady Tigers lost 897-844 total pins.
The match then moved to a best of five baker play with total pins determine the winner. In the first game, Texas Southern won 223-173.
The Lady Tigers fell in game two, 182-145. Texas Southern took game three 148-133, and also took game four 212-188.
In game five, Lincoln Memorial defeated the Lady Tigers 195-143, to force a tiebreaker to determine who moved on to the next round of the NCAA tournament. In the tiebreaker, Lincoln Memorial defeated Texas Southern 105-72, to win the match.
