LAWRENCE, Kansas- Trayvon Reed (pictured above) notched a double-double as he contributed 19 points and 14 rebounds but it wasn't enough as the Texas Southern Tigers dropped a 114-71 decision to the #3 Kansas Jayhawks on the road.
Demontrae Jefferson returned to the Tigers starting lineup on Tuesday as he shot 9-of-22 from the field including a 6-of-13 showing from beyond the arc for a total of 24 points to lead the team in points scored.
TSU trailed 66-30 at the break as the Jayhawks shot extremely efficiently from the field in the first half going 23-of-39 (59 percent) which helped them take control of the game early.
Texas Southern will now get set to travel and face Clemson next as they continue non-conference play.
