WASHINGTON – The Lady Tigers of Texas Southern University saw their three-match winning streak snapped Friday as they fell 2-0 at Howard.

The Bison's Kela Gray bookended the match with a pair of goals, scoring first in the third minute and then adding an insurance tally in the 88th minute.

The win allowed Howard (8-9) to climb past the Lady Tigers into second place on the SWAC table with a 7-2 league record. TSU (7-6-2) fell to 6-2-1 in Southwestern Athletic Conference play.

Freshman goalkeeper Tammy Syron made saves for the Lady Tigers.

The Lady Tigers conclude the regular season next Friday when they make relatively short trip (at least in terms of distance) up U.S. Highway 290 to face Prairie View A&M. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
